Yes, that’s me tap dancing. Dancing was my first passion in life. I started when I was 8 years old and never stopped. I rent the dance studio at Art Serve every week and my friend Joan and I tap our hearts out. I created one of the steps, Joan did the other and the last step was choregraphed by one of our friends and teacher, David Viner.
The opening reception for “abstracts” at ArtServe was on April 30, 2008. I have two paintings in the show. The exhibit runs through May 23, 2008. The two photos below were taken at the show. That’s Jackie Laflamme with me in front of one of my paintings. She also had work in the show.

Art Serve recently hosted a 12 x 12 Collective that brought 11 art organizations together for a show of works 12″ x 12″. It included paintings, photography, pastels, watercolor and jewelry. The show ran from March 4th through March 14th. I submitted one of my acrylic abstracts.
This past weekend I went to a seminar held at ArtServe. The subject was “Thriving as a Studio Professional”. Bruce Baker was the speaker and I found him to be informative and entertaining. If you are looking to make money with your art he has the tools you need to be successful. He has three CD’s you can purchase on his web site, 1. Your slides & the jury, 2. Booth design & merchandising, 3. Dynamic sales & customer service techniques.
